An SG10 Solutions consultancy client is looking for an interim trainer to join them on a temporary basis to help new analytics recruits quickly upskill themselves in around R programming and python development.
The role is London-based and would ideally suit a candidate with hands-on analytics experience who has then progressed into a more training and coaching-focussed role. All of the new members to the analytics team are PhD qualified and have foundation level programming skills. The role will begin on a bi-weekly basis and hopefully evolving as the relationship with the trainer and the company develops Full job description: Profile: o Creates and maintains a positive and professional learning environment. o Understands and applies a variety of learning methodologies and concepts for maximum learning transfer in both the live or virtual classroom and personal interactions. o Maintains knowledge of learning theories and techniques and applies these to the training delivery o Facilitates the course within the allotted and agreed upon timeline and covers all outlined material o Good Knowledge on Python and R Programming o Willing to travel as the role evolves. Desired Candidate Profile o Should have handled real time projects o Should have at least 2+ years of Experience in analytics o Should have progressed into a trainer background and ideally have some experience in speaking at public conferences. o Good communication and presentation skills o Should be aware of various NoSQL databases like Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis, Neo4j and big data tools such as Hadoop, scala and spark. Key Responsibilities o Will be giving 1-2 trainings per month on Hadoop Developer, Hadoop Administrator, Data Analyst :Pig/Hive/Impala and Cassandra o Will Write technical blogs on analytics o Publish technical articles. o Evangelise the consultancy’s Big Data and analytics capabilities by speaking at technical conferences
